The Bond App (“Bond,” “Company,” “we,” “us” or “our”) respects the privacy of our users (“user” or “you”).  This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the web portal at https://bondapp.io/ (theSite”), the mobile application (the “App”) and other offerings and portals operated by Bond (collectively, “Services”).  Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the Services.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. Any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Privacy Policy, and you waive the right to receive specific notice of each such change or modification. 

You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Services.

1.  SCOPE

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed by us, including on our website, platform, mobile applications, and other online or offline offerings. 


2.  PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The categories of personal information we collect depend on how you interact with us, our Services and the requirements of applicable law. We collect information that you provide to us, information we obtain automatically when you use our Services, and information from other sources such as third-party services and organizations, as described below.


A. Information You Provide to Us Directly

We may collect the following personal information that you provide to us.  This includes the following: 

  • Account Creation and use of Services. We may collect information when you create an account, such as name, date of birth, email address, team/organization role and other information that you voluntarily give to us.  You are under no obligation to provide us with personal information of any kind, however your refusal to do so may prevent you from using certain features and/or Services.

  • Your Communications with Us. We may collect personal information, such as email address, phone number, or mailing address when you request information about our Services, register for our newsletter, request customer or technical support or otherwise communicate with us.

  • Surveys. We may contact you to participate in surveys.  If you decide to participate, you may be asked to provide certain information which may include personal information.


B. Information Collected Automatically

We may collect personal information automatically when you use our Services.  This includes the following:

  • Automatic Data Collection. We may collect certain information automatically when you use our Services, such as your Internet protocol (IP) address, user settings, MAC address, device-related information, cookie identifiers, mobile carrier, mobile advertising and other unique identifiers, browser or device information, location information (including approximate location derived from IP address and GPS), and Internet service provider. We may also automatically collect information regarding your use of our Services, activities and transactions in the course of use of Services, information about the links you click, the types of content you interact with, the frequency and duration of your activities, and other information about how you use our Services. In addition, we may collect information that other people provide about you when they use our Services.

  • Geo-Location Information. We may request access or permission to and track location-based information from your mobile device, either continuously or while you are using our mobile application, to provide location-based services. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device’s settings.

  • Mobile Device Access. We may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device’s calendar, camera, contacts, microphone, and other features. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device’s settings.

  • Mobile Device Data. We may collect device information (such as your mobile device ID, model and manufacturer), operating system, version information and IP address.

  • Push Notifications. We may request to send you push notifications regarding your account or the App. If you wish to opt-out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device’s settings.

  • Cookies, Pixel Tags/Web Beacons, and Other Technologies. We, as well as third parties that provide content or other functionality on our Services, may use cookies, pixel tags, local storage, and other technologies (“Technologies”) to automatically collect information through your use of our Services. Cookies are small text files placed in device browsers that store preferences and facilitate and enhance your experience. You can remove or reject cookies, but be aware that such action could affect the availability and functionality of the Services.  A pixel tag (also known as a web beacon) is a piece of code embedded in our Services that collects information about engagement on our Services. The use of a pixel tag allows us to record, for example, that a user has visited a particular web page or App. We may also include web beacons in e-mails to understand whether messages have been opened, acted on, or forwarded.

A. Provide Our Services

We use your information to fulfil our contract with you and provide you with our Services, such as:

If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation. This includes exchanging information with other entities for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

  • Third-Party Service Providers 

We may share your information with third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, including data analysis, email delivery, hosting services, customer service, and marketing assistance.  

  • Marketing Communications

With your consent, or with an opportunity for you to withdraw consent, we may share your information with third parties for marketing purposes, as permitted by law.

  • Interactions with Other Users 

If you interact with other users of the Site and our App, those users may see your name, profile photo, and descriptions of your activity, including sending invitations to other users, chatting with other users, liking posts, following blogs. 

  • Online Postings

When you post comments, contributions or other content to the Site or our App, your posts may be viewed by all users and may be publicly distributed outside the Services in perpetuity. 

  • Affiliates 

We may share your information with our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy. Affiliates include our parent company and any subsidiaries, joint venture partners or other companies that we control or that are under common control with us.

  • Business Partners 

We may share your information with our business partners to offer you certain products, services or promotions. 

  • Sale or Bankruptcy 

If we reorganize or sell all or a portion of our assets, undergo a merger, or are acquired by another entity, we may transfer your information to the successor entity. If we go out of business or enter bankruptcy, your information would be an asset transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that the transferee may decline honor commitments we made in this Privacy Policy.

We are not responsible for the actions of third parties with whom you share personal or sensitive data, and we have no authority to manage or control third-party solicitations. If you no longer wish to receive correspondence, emails or other communications from third parties, you are responsible for contacting the third party directly.


5. YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES AND RIGHTS

Your Privacy Choices. The privacy choices you may have about your personal information are determined by applicable law and are described below.

  • Email and Telephone Communications. If you receive an unwanted email from us, you can use the unsubscribe link found at the bottom of the email to opt out of receiving future emails. Note that you will continue to receive transaction-related emails regarding products or Services you have requested. We may also send you certain non-promotional communications regarding us and our Services, and you will not be able to opt out of those communications (e.g., communications regarding our Services or updates to our Terms or this Privacy Policy).

We process requests to be placed on do-not-mail, do-not-phone, and do-not-contact lists as required by applicable law.

  • “Do Not Track. Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in certain web browsers. Please note that we do not respond to or honor DNT signals or similar mechanisms transmitted by web browsers.

  • Cookies and Technologies. You may stop or restrict the placement of Technologies on your device or remove them by adjusting your preferences as your browser or device permits. However, if you adjust your preferences, our Services may not work properly. Please note that cookie-based opt-outs are not effective on mobile applications.

6. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES

The Services may contain links to third-party websites and applications of interest, including advertisements and external services, that are not affiliated with us.  Once you have used these links to leave the Site or our App, any information you provide to these third parties is not covered by this Privacy Policy, and we cannot guarantee the safety and privacy of your information.  Before visiting and providing any information to any third-party websites, you should inform yourself of the privacy policies and practices (if any) of the third party responsible for that website, and should take those steps necessary to, in your discretion, protect the privacy of your information. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties, including other sites, services or applications that may be linked to or from the Site or our App.


7. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IF YOU ARE A CALIFORNIA RESIDENT

Pursuant to Section 1798.83 of the California Civil Code, residents of California have the right to request from a business, with whom the California resident has an established business relationship, certain information with respect to the types of Personal Information the business shares with third parties for direct marketing purposes by such a third party and the identities of the third parties with whom the business has shared such information during the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and want a copy of this notice, please submit an email request to info@bondapp.io. In your request, please specify that you want a “Your Bond App Section 1798.83 California Privacy Rights Notice.” Please allow 30 days for a response.

California Consumer Privacy Act Rights. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), California residents have certain rights regarding their Personal Information. If you would like to exercise these rights, please contact us at info@bondapp.io. For your own privacy and security, at our discretion, we may require you to prove your identity before providing the requested information, as provided for by the CCPA. It may take us some time to respond to your request, but we will do so within the requirements of the CCPA.

The CCPA grants you the following specific rights, subject to certain exceptions and limitations:

  • The right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell about you, the categories of sources from which we collected personal information about you, our purposes for collecting or selling personal information about you, the categories of personal information about you that we have either sold or disclosed for a business purpose, and the categories of third parties with which we have shared personal information.

  • The right to request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you.

  • The right to opt out of our sale(s) of your personal information. Please note that if you opt out of certain types of sales, we will be unable to provide you with the services that rely on such sales. Note that we do not have actual knowledge that we sell the personal information of minors under 16 years of age.

  • The right not to receive discriminatory treatment for the exercise of the privacy rights conferred by the CCPA.

Note that we may need to request additional information from you to verify your identity or understand the scope of your request, although you will not be required to create an account with us to submit a request or have it fulfilled.   We will respond to all verifiable and legitimate requests within forty-five days, or as permitted by the CCPA.

8. SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information.


9. MINORS

We do not knowingly collect or process personal data from or about, or direct or target interest-based advertising to, anyone under the age of 13, nor do we knowingly allow such individuals to use our Services. If you believe we might have any data from or about a child under this age, please contact us. If we learn that we have inadvertently gathered such information, we will delete it.


10. CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY 

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time in our sole discretion. If there are any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you as required by applicable law. You understand and agree that you will be deemed to have accepted the updated Privacy Policy if you continue to use our Services after the new Privacy Policy takes effect.
